What This Privacy Policy Covers

How Filter Uses Your Personal Information

This policy covers how Filter treats personal information that Filter collects and receives, including information related to your past use of Filter products and services.  Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Filter does not own or control, or to people that Filter does not employ or manage.


Information Collection & Use


Filter collects personal information when you register with Filter, when you use Filter products or services, when you visit Filter pages, or when you request contact with Filter. Filter may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, and interests. When you submit this information, you are not anonymous to us.

Filter automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, Filter cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.


If it is discovered that a child under the age of 13 has submitted information, it will be removed as quickly as possible.


Information Sharing & Disclosure

Filter does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with Filter under confidentiality agreements.  These companies may use your personal information to help Filter communicate with you about products and services.  However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

  • We transfer information about you if Filter is acquired by or merged with another company.  In this event Filter will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Filter may set and access Filter cookies on your computer. We may also set and access device identifiers which could include IP address, user agent information (browser version, OS type and version), and device provided identifiers.
